talking about street cars that top out at 130, they’re slow as fuck over 100. Usually those cars have no more than 250hp, and acceleration is down to a crawl in the last few mph.

valid point, 60-130 on those 2 cars is identical. I’m not sure the ZR1 is more or less stable, since I haven’t driven both. Here’s an acceleration comparison showing how much the Z06 drops off on the top end

in your example, since you’re not comparing different cars’ top speeds, you are correct. My point is about comparing or bragging rights of 2 competing cars

I disagree. Even though almost nobody will hit the top speed limit in their supercars, it is a clear indication of the performance envelope in triple digit speeds which are usable and accessible. A car with a 220mph top speed will accelerate much harder 60-130 than one that tops out at 175mph.
