Discovery ends up in 25 century, post voyager, Lorca dead. Michael takes command in the true sequel we all want and has to explain to Starfleet who the hell they are.

Totally down for Terry Crews
My theater legit groaned when Farrell transformed into Depp, with a few giggles interspersed in and one guy who yelled “Oh, c’mon!”
Jacob and Queenie were stole the film for me. I enjoyed it well enough on its own, but I was incredibly invested in Jacob’s arc. His final scene with Queenie was lovely.
I saw the first one once in theaters and Queenie is literally one of two substantial things I remember about it. The other is the disappointment that they wasted Colin Farrell and replaced him with Depp.
Oops, my hand slipped.
Look, I made it better!
Amazon, there are 41 Discworld books. You could be adapting them until the heat death of the universe.
Aquaman really shouldn’t wear a shirt ever. It’s not like he’s going to be cold or needs the protection.
I genuinely don’t think that the showrunners think they’re smarter than the premise of Star Trek—they’re investigating the various ways that the series never fulfilled its premise, that’s all. I think that it’s worth engaging with the contradictions of Trek, not because we “want a show that says it’s all shit”, but…

“Swipe left if u can’t handle a guy with opinions” is a fucking gift, straight from the ass’ mouth.
“Valkyrie gets the hammer, or recast Jane Foster”
What if, and this is just a suggestion, we give the hammer to Darcy...
Kate Blanchett as Hela really was a gift to audiences.
I knew this is pretty off topic, but your comment reminded me of something. I just went to a symposium on US-China relations last week where the speaker was a former senior diplomat to China, and he pointed out that Hollywood hasn’t released a movie that showed China as a villain (or, really, as all that bad in pretty…
See, I hadn’t read anything from Tessa prior to seeing the movie in an effort to keep most spoilers away. So I had no idea until I saw that moment, and *in* that moment I just knew. That’s good stuff.
I was just talking to James about this! Because I read that scene as explicitly queer too. But I’d also read Thompson’s tweets and I’m a queer women who finds gayness in a single look between two otherwise heterosexual presenting people so that’s no big deal.
I clearly read that particular Valkyrie as her lover as well.
I read everything Tessa Thompson meant me to read in the scene where the other Valkyrie is falling back from her after she’s been run through. There’s intimacy in the anguish on her face that goes beyond mere sisterhood. I thought it was a brilliant bit of acting.
I’m fairly used to getting misty eyed over mining. Growing up and living in the Rocky Mountains, and being part of at least 5 generations that have lived in the same area, mining has shaped our lives. Abandoned towns and mining camps are common as long as you know where to look. Most are truly abandoned, not…
