I grew up in a bumblefuck part of the country. Those people would vote for Satan if he had an R next to his name. My condescending opinion of them would not change this one way or the other.

The point of the Senate and the point of the Electoral College are different.
You can’t (convincingly) defend the EC by trotting you your 8th civics lesson about why the Great Compromise was a good idea.

The design of the two house system and the EC are two different issues.

Uh...Electing Reps, Senators, the President isn’t pure democracy, either. Even if every person gets a vote for each office.

This is an argument for the Senate being equal representation.
