I strongly disagree with this take. I’ve found Civ VI to hold me far more than Civ V ever could. I have nearly four times as many hours logged in the former as the latter.

Inflation is a thing. We’ve been at the $399 price point for like a decade now, pushing it up to $499 should still leave them cheaper, in inflation adjusted terms, than they were back then.

Look, I still don’t see how $599 was some kind of “insane” asking price. You can’t demand companies keep pushing hardware limits, giving you bleeding edge tech with unlimited teraflops and then also demand they do it for “As Seen On TV” prices.

They were apparently high-in with Sega of America, so they were easily able to get interviews with the staff and even other high profile Sonic YouTubers like Tails Channel did work for them and used their work as source material. 

I’m curious how much (relatively) valuable / historical community content may have been hosted there? If a lot, hopefully archive.org did its job.

Apparently this wasn't the first time Tristan (the owner of the site and the one who made the tweet) had made dumb posts like this, and one of their top reporters had enough and quit shortly after the tweet.

Can’t say I’m worried about story spoilers. I recently picked up the Division 2 during a sale and I thought it was going to feel a little too real because of the pandemic, but it turns out it just feels goofy as all hell. Even in Tom Clancy’s “the military/government is always right and noble” universe this setup is…
