Video games are entertainment. Just because someone enjoys a WWII docu-drama doesn’t mean they’re going to grab a rifle and storm Normandy. Besides, it’s not as if stylized ultra-violence (and other ostensibly objectionable content) isn’t well-represented in Japanese games already.

I don’t get this at all, does Sony really think they are so far ahead that they can piss off a substantial subset of gamers and there won’t be a backlash?

What would be funny is if Sony had another design layout and decided to go with that one instead of this right before announcing a PS4 Slim just so it didn’t seem like they were “bullshitting”that these version don’t exist.

Best part is that it’s not a big ad for their games. There’s some recognizable designs, but it doesn’t just look like a bunch of Blizzard posters or anything. It’s cute and playful and doesn’t scream CORPORATE ART. Great stuff.

This is not exciting at all. Fragmenting your user base is ridiculous and alienating. Even if Sony somehow gave you a “get the PS4K trading your PS4", it would only apply to first world countries. Others in third world countries or countries where Sony isn’t oficially in, we’re screwed.

I’m doubting the 4K part. In order to achieve that at 30 FPS consistently you are looking at a substantial CPU and GPU upgrade. We’re talking aboost up to at least a current gen i3 or last gen i5, and over twice the GPU shading power of a PS4 so greater than GTX 970 or aorund GTX 980/980ti territory.

I would recommend doing a clean install. I’ve found most of the bugs and stuff come with the update. Once I did the clean install, it seemed to eradicate any issues I was having with Win10.

To be fair, it is Nordic, so it at least makes sense. It's just art, not an actual story.
