I think it’s a matter of poor competition more than anything. If other games can’t do it better or offer a different enough but still compelling experience then they’re gonna fail.

They would have to overhaul so much of the game that i can’t imagine it’s worth it.

The fact that a mic is built into every controller doesn’t help. It means literally everyone has an open mic by default. I’m sure a lot of people aren’t even aware the mic exists so they might not even realize people can hear them.

The Eden Prime changes are so bizarre. The mood I always got on the planet is “it’s the end of the world nightmare oh god what is that thing in the sky.” The first time I played ME I genuinely thought the reaper was a giant hand reaching down due to the silhouetted lighting.

I’d argue lens flare makes more sense in 3rd person than 1st. In 3rd there’s a “camera" floating behind the player. In 1st it's supposed to be your eyeballs. That's why mud and dirt and blood effects on the screen in a 1st person game are silly.

If I were still actively playing I’d be psyched and I’d grind out that Jill outfit for sure.

This reminds me of the plot of GitS SAC. The idea of something becoming a meme, losing context and then morphing into something that has a life of its own. Unfortunately in this case the origin has become a victim of that process.

It wouldn’t be the first time a game dev (or marketing firm) has googled a thing and said “let's do that" if not just straight up stole the thing entirely.

All of the Dragon Age and ME games are playable on Xbox through backward compatibility and have been for some time.

I was super negative on this game since I played that first demo. I thought the combat was trash and the characters were lame anime tropes. When I finally played the full game years after release I was pretty lukewarm on it.

I built a new pc last year after my old one kept having video adapter crashes. They started happening the first time I played mtg arena and kept happening randomly after. The only thing that stopped it from happening was removing my graphics card entirely.

Yeah the Gladio dlc sucked. The Ignis one is essential though and contains maybe the coolest moment in the game and completely changed my opinion of Ignis.

You play in both worlds simultaneously through a split screen. You don't flip flop between the two like those games.

 Not saying every kaiju movie has to have one, but Shin Godzilla is a good one and has a message. Godzilla, the original, was a movie with a message too.
