How....how much fucking mayo ‘was’ it?!

I’ve never worked in retail, but with the advancement in technology and cataloging largely moving online, how does a major retailer oversell an item where they have to start cancelling preorders?

How many times have they pulled this shit? Why is Gamestop the sole retailer to get limited edition stuff...

Before BOTW came out, I preordered it on Amazon, as they offered release-day delivery; and booked the following day off work. The day before release, they fucking delayed it.

‘Cabin Boy’ was a work of pure genius. I saw it when it came out and loved it from start to finish. 1994 gave us Ace Ventura Pet Detective, Maverick and The Flintstones. ‘Cabin Boy’ is Citizen Kane compared to those pieces of garbage.

I love Cabin Boy, I love Chris Elliott, and I love Adam Resnick. But their defeatism is patently stupid.

Physical games you know you have forever, whereas digital games could be taken from you if the publisher decides to do so. That’s the one reason I won’t make the switch completely.

More likely closer to the Amazon - Disney fight. Amazon wants a bigger retail cut. The publishers don’t want to give it to them (or vice-versa). So Amazon plays hardball and refuses pre-orders for physical copies.

I have a gut feeling that Insomnia/Sony dodged this Amazon discount in order to get as much profit out it, especially since it’s heavily implied on the article.
