JT's dadbod is giving me LIFE!
1) Dominique Ansel is great. The cronut is amazing and well worth the hype, but probably everything the guy and his talented team make is top notch. I went to his U.P. 8 course dessert menu in New York last year and it was beyond delicious. So much more creative than anything the chefs made in this episode!
2) Time…
Kathryn Hahn is a damn treasure who should be cloned multiple times, be mandatorily cast in every show ever because she makes anything she's in exponentially better.
Well, that depends on what shows you compare it to. Faking It had its moments. It could be pretty on the nose with its LGBTQI+ inclusiveness, but that is the whole point of the show. But if you enjoyed the first years of Awkward, I think you'll appreciate Faking It too.
Bailey De Young was one of the show's highlights…
Also, Ashley never showed up in other castmembers' Instagram pictures, which stirred up some more gossip.
I usually stick with a show I've watched for years. Especially when it's a final season. But I just couldn't anymore with Awkward. You've described the downwards spiral perfectly here.
I'm guessing Faking It was heading in the same direction, MTV saw it coming too and didn't want to get stuck with a turd that once was…
The Three Eyed Raven served us some fabulous RuPaul realness. He twice spoke the words "The time has come" and I was more than ready for an epic installment of lip sync for your life. You know our girl Cersei'd be into it.
After I've only started watching Survivor regularly during Gabon (what a season to start with…) I've used the months in between seasons to catch up on older seasons. I'm at the point where there aren't that many seasons left. Which would you recommend and why?
Season 2: Australia
Season 3: Africa
Season 4: Marquesas

It's always sad to have a player evacuated, but at least there's no goat to take to the final two this year. Each of the remaining players can make a case for why they should win and in different ways they all deserve the title. But I'm really hoping Aubry can work some magic and take home the title. She's been an…
Agreed. It's easy to underestimate them. Eden's got her fair amount of praise, but Charlie and Atticus deserve the same. Charlie's physical acting chops are especially great. The way he throws his body around in desperation is very funny.
I absolutely LOVED Brick's angry tirade. The first time he's been portrayed as a teenager, not a child in my opinion. At times it's been unsettling seeing the much older Atticus Shaffer playing Brick, but this was a great reminder that Brick is growing up and that he's standing up for himself more and more.
Also good…
Why is Wentworth considered a goat by the other players? I think she's played a great game so far, physically and strategically. Really hope she makes it to the end (which she should with the idol in her pocket) and wins this season!
I'm not buying the Rachel/Quinn friendship/love. They remind me of Ellen Parsons and Patty Hewes on Damages: they need each other to manipulate, thrive and survive. And that final scene with Rachel and Quinn talking on the sunbeds really echoed the season 1 finale of Damages, where Ellen goes back to work for Patty…
They're in the aftermath of the conspiracy now, which has made the show much better in my opinion.
Any chance AV Club starts covering Madam Secretary? It's getting better by the episode and hey, nothing wrong with slowly treading new territory for a dark and dangerous post-Good Wife world.
Seriously, Jenn is the best.
Is it just me, or have the female cast members have been criminally underused this season? Especially Kate, I'd expected her to be up there in almost every sketch after her breakout year last season. Is it a writing thing, is she off creating her own sitcom to be launched in fall 2015?
All I kept thinking throughout the episode was 'Call ChumHum!' So many tech-savvy friends, so little use in this time of need.
Diane just casually being like 'It's 5 o'clock. Let me just grab my picture with Hillary Clinton before I enter BADASS BITCH MODE' had me squealing with joy.
