It really doesn’t. It’s cheesy, filled with dumb logic and silly jokes. It’s still a “good” film but it’s good because it’s silly and childish. It’s just as dumb as this film, just different in tone due to the generation you have. This is a film for children.

You know what the main problem with He-Man is? It’s that it’s 2016, and the main character is still named “He-Man.” That’s a pretty major hurdle to leap.
