In my opinion as someone who likes both Final Fantasy games and sci-fi movies, if you just drop the name Final Fantasy from the movie... it's a pretty fun CG flick to watch. As someone else just noted, its a little dated compared to modern CGI.... but still a pretty fun experience to watch. Think of it as a crazy…

When I was in Japan, playing Final Fantasy XI on my XBox 360 with my friends was a way we kept in touch and I can personally verify that my friends were playing on PS2 and PC versions of the game. Apparently, the hoops SE had to jump through to get FFXI on the 360 were the reason its been dropped.

What I find amusing is how Zynga can sue people for games that are clones of Sim City and Harvest Moon. (I understand that this case is becuase of branding, strategy, mission statements... but at the core... Zynga is just cloning games like Scrabble, Sim City, etc...)
