You know... my only real brush with Dream Pod 9 was their Macross II RPG Deck Plans books they did with Palladium back in the 90s. I really need to give Heavy Gear a look one of these days. The mecha looks amazing!

@Dan2593: It can't do that, Dan.

@Luke Plunkett: I'm really hard pressed. This game does look really freaking weird and cool....

Hey... what about Contra meets Jurassic Park... Jurassic Park: The Chaos Continues?

Wasn't Light Yagami in Death Note kind of a bad guy douche? I don't know... never really thought of him as a protagonist.

@Luke Plunkett: You know, as one of the people who was REALLY waiting to see X-COM Alliance, I am VERY excited about this game! Incredibly excited!

Uh, Techromancer 2. That's what the world needs.

It reminds me of the Mars Gallant from Robotech:The New Generation (Or Genesis Climber Mospeada).

@ryoshi: Dune Trivia here. At one point, Cryo was going to make a Strategy MMO of Dune called Dune Generations. Unfortunatly, it was not to be...

@i.roboto: I was JUST about to post that clip! Thank you! Good call there!

Will this lead to Sh0g0? Cuz that'd be pretty rad.

@deanbmmv: Indeed! I was REALLY happy to see that used in the game. Have no fear, you were not the only one!

Oh Square Enix... you can only troll your fans for so long.

Wow. That is pretty impressive! Nice indeed!

Actually, when you consider how they COULD have redone the artwork with some Western style art or something.... this seems like a good middle-ground. They just rearranged the order of the image. I don't think much harm was done. It wasn't like say... Dragon Warrior or Mega Man style edits.

Uh, I don't see the reason for the backlash here... name looks to be done in the style of pulp adventure fantasy like the Allen Quartermain stories or Indiana Jones.... and seeing as how Tomb Raider was inspired by that.... yeah, don't see a problem here. Sounds cool to me!

Yeah, seeing that Blazblue: Continuum Shift is likely gonna be nearly a full-priced game with no REAL updates... I don't think I'm gonna mind SSFIV with it's near full sequel worth of updates.

I gotta agree with your accessment... the game has it's reallly bright and inventive spots... and then it's unfinished, rough areas. The problem it really suffers is that it needs to be as polished all around. If every missions was as memorable as some of the spoilerific ones.... the game would be truly great.
