If I’ve got a frosty glass, that sucker won’t last more than about 2 min.  Ice cold heaven.  

Bottles take up too much room when they’re full, and when they’re empty.  After each beer, I crush the can and chuck it into a garbage bag.  Once I have a couple of bags full of crushed cans, I take them to get recycled, get 10 cents for each one, and have 40 more bucks to spend on beer.  I’d need a van to move that…

It’s just the way it is. Consider also that the fans are right on top of the golfers, whereas in most other sports they’re sealed away from the field of play. Being yelled at from five feet away is a different animal than some leather-lung in the third row bellowing at you.  

We also need to discuss why The Great Hambino still looks the same.  

Movies from 25 years ago depicting life 55 years ago at that.

What the hell are you on about?  The 60's, and the attitudes of the kids depicted in the movie aren’t changing regardless of how society has evolved.  The “once common comedic tropes” depicted in the film were already 30 years in the past when the film came out.  

Shane Doan was a hell of a player, but he was nowhere near the level of the Sedins.

The simple answer is that hockey players don’t usually play that long. Only the very best, and physically gifted can play 15+ years. For the majority of players in the NHL, once they slow down a touch they are done. The great ones, even diminished, are still good enough. Most average guys are gone by 32 or younger.

Or you can just chalk it up to the fact that Tim Thomas definitely outplayed Luongo in that great series.
