I played music quite a bit in my 20s. Various bar bands, mostly of the blues rock, folk rock, Americana vein. I (something of a multi-instrumentalist) and the front man to my band (singer/guitar player) also used to host a Sunday night residency at a hole-in-the-wall dive. I got to see all types come through.

Never confuse talent or musical ability with sounding good. There’s tons of highly talented people who make shit music.
