That trailer just screams to me that this show was originally meant to be about the Trumps, but halfway through pre-production in 2018 they realised that, oh shit, that would just encourage them.

Another reason Bluey should be praised is that it’s one of the rare digital animations that doesn’t look terrible. Sure, it’s not hand-drawn, but they’ve leaned into and embraced their medium, not tried to fight against it by attempting to simulate hand-drawn.
