I watched it yesterday but I think they were comparing it to the F40, as in it’s more civilized than the F40. Given the raw nature of that car, the GTO could still be a demon.

This was my question too. 

This made sense to me until I stopped and thought about how much air time Fox Sports and NBCSN devote to yapping about NASCAR. Why wouldn’t they want even more of it? I would think they would want to stretch it out as much as possible. At least it explains one NASCAR decision. 

I guess it would be too hard to just make everybody do two laps by themselves like they did for decades. 

I used to see a lot of tinted visors in old (‘30s-’50s) cars. They were probably a thing before tinted glass was ubiquitous.  

I want to eliminate calling what are actually a company’s rank and file employees “independent contractors” to allow them to get around labor laws and the company patting itself on the back for “disrupting” the industry. Babysitters etc. negotiate their contracts independently. They are independent contractors.
