I just wanted a bed. Sorry about the downer.

Now playing

They should have just built a floating bridge. Nothing ever goes wrong with those.

Could he be someone that’s been trapped in the game like the Nick Jonas character? I guess that would only work for the board game not the video game given his age and the timeline, though, so I’m not much help at all.

He should be calling his sponsor right this second.

I’ve only watched them one time this season, a 104-67 loss to Gonzaga, so I’m assuming they got better?

Did anyone else notice that he always walked in front of her? Weird.

Isn’t the most iconic Sorel the Caribou? I have a pair that’s over 30 years old.

Valid. We like having that carrot out there to get through the worst of it and by the time we get back it’s March and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We couldn’t go earlier anyway since my wife is an accountant and January/February is her crazy busy time.

You know it. There’s so many good spots down there these days. The Shearwater Tavern and the Maui Brewing brewpub are also on our list!

For swimming and snorkeling we usually go to beaches between Ulua and Big Beach but Ulua is one of my favorites as it has good snorkeling, isn’t crowded and is fairly close to Kihei where we usually stay.

Come on over to my side of the state if you want even more cold! The darkness is the same, though. At least now sunset is after 4pm. It’s at 4:10 today!

Creepy? Only on The IT Crowd.

We even sometimes stay in our area but go to one of the local casino resorts for a long weekend. Anything to change the scenery and feel pampered for a couple of days. Even just using the pool and hot tub can be very helpful.

A car from this century can still be over 15 years old. That isn’t exactly new, but I agree with your basic thesis. My main point was that IF he buys another vehicle it should be a reliable runner not another rescued pile of rust. The part about being from this century was just a lazy shorthand.

That’s just it. If David buys an old car you know it will be a non-running pile of rust that will sit and serve no purpose other than pissing off the neighbors. It’s best if he goes out with a mandate in his head to get something at least reasonably new and not yet another project.

I’m in Washington (state) so I feel your pain. It’s also why I see so many PNW related t-shirts when I’m in Hawaii that time of year.

This is exactly why we always schedule our vacation trips for the end of February. It gives us something to look forward to during the Big Dark and gets us out of town just when we’re ready to lose our minds. On Feb. 22 you will find me on a beach in Maui, probably Ulua Beach. Stop by and say “Hi”.

The part of the plan that involves culling the herd is fine as far as it goes, it’s the other part that worries me. DO NOT BUY A CAR. At least not one that’s not from this century and is a reliable daily driver.

It’s an interesting swap which is good for views and the character of the engine is appropriate but it’s definitely doing things the hard way since Marathons came with Chevy straight sixes and small blocks.

It was the New Year’s Eve before 1988 and I was in Spain. One of the friends I was with had a buddy who owned a bar. That guy opened it back up for us after we left the club at 3:00am. It was a very, very sloppy night/morning and there was some hair holding involved. And no, that’s not a euphemism.
