Oh, I hate these stories so much. On the one hand, not really something I support and not a job I would ever want one of my daughters to take. Also, I would be pretty uncomfortable at a party like that and probably leave.

On the other, this seems a bit ridiculous. Aren’t feminists constantly talking about how women

Being a scantily clad dancer contributes to sexual violence? Are you implying one’s dress code and or profession some how is responsible for sexual assault?

They were dancers, not strippers. But to your point, the article would have praised the event.

Do you have evidence to support that claim? That dancers increase sexual violence?

I don’t see anything wrong with it. If the women were paid for their time and they wanted to be there then great! If anyone felt uncomfortable about it they could have left just like people who aren’t comfortable at a strip club probably aren’t going to hang out in one.

“Sexual violence is incredibly common. Crap like this contributes to that.”

It’s really not. First booth babes are banned from E3 and now this. Everyone needs to just chill the hell out and stop mollycoddling society.

What a world we live in, where sexuality gets the most uproar from people. America should be more concerned about all the violence kids are being exposed to.

“It’s on Microsoft to stop this from happening again, and ensure their outreach to women seems genuine.” [emphasis added]

Don’t roll your eyes, this is a BIG DEAL.

Wait why should we care that they paid for dancers? People like slutty dancers is that problem now? or is this more of a dress code issue slutty dancers cant dress as school girls? or did they pitch it as a black tie event?

I don’t know about all of that, but I will say that white girl in the picture above is hot!

I’m sorry, but this isn’t true. It’s like moronic yelpsters. Someone is basically doing a “angry reviewer” bit, but actually can basically end a business or developer by specifically targeting them to be funny.

Unfortunately.

Those count because internet activism is the same as real-life activism. In fact, it’s more important!!!!!

Here in the U.S., I notice that people are increasingly defining themselves and their values by what they are against.

Never in a million years did I think that a 1984 esque world would be ushered in not by the conservative right, but the liberal left instead.

I remember the days when colleges were places you went to get an education so you could get a good job after graduation. Now they are pretty much daycare centers for professional activists. If I was a young person today, I’d probably just go to online college to avoid being harassed by the products of the internet
