Oh come the fuck on. Everyone knows the Kindle is an Android tablet. And everyone already knows you don't have access to Google Play, BUT you can access the 1 Mobile Market (google it). Where you can get instagram, Groupon, Firefox, dead trigger, Shoot the Zombirds, and most free games on the Google Play store.

Check out the 1 Mobile Market, it is an alternative to Google's Play Store. As long as you have allowed your Kindle to install from unknown sources, you can install it and have access to most apps on the Google Play. It is also secure, I haven't had any issues from it.

I had WP7 and android (work phone). When it comes to games WP7 wins hands down, there are a ton of quality games on the platform. Non-gaming apps, android wins.

This is grilling, not bbqing. Just because you put bbq sauce on something doesn't make it bbq. BBQ involves a smoker or a pit, with hours and hours of cooking time.

This reply has nothing to do with this article, but I can't reply on the "sponsored" aka an advertisement masquerading as an article (The one article about Mobile Security and Android). For some reason this just doesn't seem right.

+1 for the Jesus, after looking at the Apple kill list... I hardly see how this decision matters. I am not uber familiar with each carrier's offerings, but most of these are just too old to care about, especially with how cheap a Galaxy Nexus has become.

You, my friend, are an Officer AND a Gentleman

I just had almost gotten used to the new comment system and now it is changed again?

Bonus Vid: It is just the Alabama Shakes, not BH and the Alabama Shakes...

Slow day at Gizmodo...

Even as a kid, I never got behind the concept that SNL was funny. The best of DVD's even bore me into sleep. Most of it is just too painful to watch. It is sad when the funniest part of the SNL are when people break character and start giggling.

+1... couldn't have said it better.

Just a side note, I will be pushing her to get a new bigger iphone once she is ready for a new phone in December. Assuming it is bigger of course <— looks likely

Because she has a 4 inch phone now, that is the only reason. She doesn't like change. She is afraid that she won't like downgrading to the smaller size. I had a 3.75 inch HTC Trophy and I thought going to the galaxy nexus would be a world changer, it wasn't really. Other than not being able to use it with one hand.

"It's also totally nuts that you still, after all these years, can't pin a folder to the taskbar in desktop mode"

To each his own, of course. I enjoy the complicated nature of Android.

No joke, this is my first time pre-ordering anything. I usually just wait, but I was just pumped about this game.

I am in the same boat.... the worst is GMG hasn't even acknowledged the issue. THey mentioned some key codes getting mixed up, but they haven't even posted/tweeted/masturbated/blogged a message explaining anything about non-delivered key codes.
