Serperior was my starter too. Heh. Leech Seed + Substitute set because it was amazingly annoying. I'd bring out Smugleaf when Conkledurr would knock out my Scrafty.

Scrafty was my favorite pokemon from Gen V. I bought Volume 1 of the B&W guide and it told to catch a Scraggy early on. The 4 moves I was instructed to teach it were Dragon Tail, Crunch, Sludge Bomb, and Rock Slide. Scrafty was able to defeat the Elite 4 by herself. I was so proud.

I got sweeped by Conkeldurr and Mach Punch. I didn't know why my Hydreigon and Haxorus with 31 speed each weren't attacking first. I was a noob. ;_;

Find a friend who likes making Pokemon with legit stats and you're set. I've tried doing it myself but it takes too long and sometimes a single stat will be suckage while the rest are 31.
