Confederate flags in rural areas is something I’ve seen in literally every Southern state I’ve driven through....and hell, you would probably see it in a lot of Northern states. If the presence of racist, mouth-breathing white trash makes you not want to go to a state, you’re pretty limited on places to go, brother.

On the bright side, at least with OSU, Michigan State, Penn State, and Maryland having had horrific scandals in the last decade, we can expect Big Ten fans to tone down their self-righteous, delusional bullshit...loljk.

Not surprised in the least. You were asking an athletics program and fanbase that glorifies a coach who punched an opposing player on the field to fire probably the second best coach in the country with a $38m buyout.  Urban is a shitty human being for this but he was never going to get fired.

A lot more than that. Based reports from funeral home workers from other articles, he wanted to cut his father’s head off to have it tested. And there was the gym incident from a few months ago where he thought the government was spying on him. So, it sounds like A LOT more than what you said. And contrary to your

Never heard about him being paranoid until the last year. Paranoia usually present in late-teens, early-20's. Unless he has covered it up throughout his entire NFL career, you would assume that it is related to structural damage or substance use. (Emphasis: Not necessarily saying CTE)

Thank you.  And they often go hand-in-hand.  Believe it or not, paranoid people usually aren’t nice.  Being an asshole and deserving empathy aren’t mutually exclusive either.  The guy is clearly in a very, very dark place.

A king’s ransom? The Lakers weren’t willing to give a jester’s ransom.

Because it was far more specific than the generic, “Germans lose in Russia” joke.

I don’t think they are “fighting” about it. This does not appear to have been a public battle of any kind until this story. Or at least I can’t find any kind of history of this story. It sounds like a conflict came up that may not have been handled the right way but it has been settled and the relationship between

In fairness to the inspector, this is a person required to frequently show up unannounced to the homes of world-class athletes—who are probably spoiled assholes to begin with AND he knows rightly despise him—to request their piss.

Yeah, that seemed to be the zenith of the outrage over doping. Public outrage, coupled with athletes finding ways to mask/get around the tests, probably pushed them to ramp up requirements.

A three-minute search through the database will pretty quickly show you that the only other American tennis players that ever win tournaments (Isner and the Bryans) are tested as much or more.

Well played....but Isner and the Bryan brothers have won quite a few. Hence, they have been tested as much, if not more, than Serena over the last several years..

A quick scan through the database you linked shows Serena was tested 5 times in the first two quarters of 2015 and 2016 and 6 times in 2014....so, this year is fairly normal for her. The Bryan Brothers and Isner are tested about as much as Serena.

I don’t know what their formula is. Obviously, winning is the biggest

The man is 6'8, 260 with probably 5% body fat, faster than most point guards, never gets hurt, and is amazingly coordinated. He is, in my opinion, the greatest physical athlete I have ever seen in any sport. But yes....it is criminal that his basketball IQ, which is savant level and has been for some time, has been

Any comment on the majority of White women?

Yeah....seems pretty easy to understand to me. You’re probably going to win it with guys in that middle ground of being experienced but not too old (late 20's, 2nd World Cup). They have either lost a step from the previous one or they retire/aren’t selected; thus, your team is either too old or rebuilding. Seems like

As a non-soccer fan, this is why I am somewhat confused about why the World Cup and international soccer, as a whole, is seriously analyzed (e.g., “What does the US not making it say about where soccer is in the country?”) or regarded as so important for a player’s legacy (e.g., “Is Messi really the best when he

Also on the Volga River, though....so an even better reference.

This post won’t get the credit that it deserves....but you made coffee come out of my nose. +10000 for both geographical and historical awareness.
