But what is rock? It's the never ending thing for lists like this, or just call this 'best bands of the 00's that include a bassist, a drummer, a guitarist and someone who sings'.

He also nearly killed Alejandro Jodorowsky's career by nearly making him direct porn and when Jordorowsky said no he just got every copy of el topo and holy mountain out of circulation and declined all invites to show the movies.

M83 is every stereotype about French culture I hate turned into vapid sonic waves of synth. It's music that reeks of horny Frenchmen, smelly cheese and cheap wine.

I do read their metal reviews when I want a good laugh. They like to use words like 'atmospheric' 'harsh' 'black' and big boy words allot.

One great debut album, one fairly decent follow up and a godawful 'look at us being mature' third offer. No. Also seeing them on the Humbug show was one of the most boring and arrogant c*nts in concert I ever saw. They even were slaying(in a bad way) Nick Cave songs.

They broke big around Feels and this list is well pretty popular including pretty much bands who all made albums that got BNM at pitchfork when they came out. That or high grades. Still yeah Strawberry Jam should be on it.

Angles sure sounds like a extremely tired band with a token electronic power-pop edge to it. Comedown Machine sure has it's moments, I really like Tap Out. I always really liked room on fire, it is the more mature follow up to the teenage garage that This Is It is(godamm). I perfer The End Has No End above everything

Heck Rilo Kiley is on it, so this list is fine with me. *goes back to worshiping his Jenny Lewis poster*

I see Ravi ending up with her roommate, because well tv logic.

I got to lazy to make that joke

It just reminded me how great Ace Of Base's The sign is. For the rest it's well a easy video series even the kids are well not as punchable as in allot of these videos.

Is there a Vincent Price one?

They are relics of how twisted the American dream is, so yeah.

Ah thats a cool factoid. I like the grainy and rough look it has even it might be a put off for other people. Donovan is like the actor Hartley uses the most, a very underrated character actor. He was in Weeds, anyone remember that?

That's a good movie, slightly forced at times. I also really liked the oddball The Book of Life which includes PJ Harvey and goes about a new coming of jesus.

Amateur is a blast and the most well easy of his movies, it's a sleazy crime-comedy with one of the best soundtracks of the 90s. Also Isabelle Huppert. His two movies with Adrienne Shelly are brilliant also like said here below and above.

It's to early to call that and I think it will come into play, mostly with all the brains giving here different traits. Also yeah, he is so far the most caring for her so yeah I think it might still come even outside that.

Everyone makes racey bad jokes at times, even the biggest activist for human rights does. I'm not trying to demonize him one bit but the problem with America in my opinion is the fear to being exposed to something that doesn't fit in their perfect 'all good and well' mindset.
