I bought my Civic Si without ever having owned a manual. I had driven a few manuals for minutes at a time without issue on empty roads, but it was nothing like LA traffic. It was a interesting time, but I’m glad I got that car.

Also, rearward visibility is becoming an afterthought in automotive, so backup camera may be less convenience and more critical.
Why? It’s 2018. It’s very rare that a new car will have dramatic mechanical breakdowns. After over a century of engineering, we’ve gotten that part pretty much down. If I just wanted that in a car, I wouldn’t buy new.
