Rereading it that makes sense. It’s weird to think of them as a brand anymore.

The A604 and 41TE were the same transmission though

Lolwut? There’s a ton of cars that could go over 200k with minimal maintenance. For every one Stratus/Sebring that went over 200k there are 500 that barely made it past 100k.

It’s a better looking Eclipse. Especially the facelifted version.

I’m not sure if you’ve ever driven something good from the early 2000’s if you think the 2.7 is a good engine or the A604 is a good transmission.

Wait are you ignoring the Challenger? And don’t say “because Mercedes” because it isn’t a Mercedes Chassis despite some parts sharing.

To be fair those golf carts have better build quality than the Cavalier

Counterpoint: the rear light bar design Porsche has moved to looks like hot garbage. And looks even more so on the Macan.

A few issues there. The Edge ST has much worse build quality. And just because it’s similar acceleration, the drive is like SomeGuy said. 3/10ths of a Macan. It’s not about tracking your CUV. The Edge still drives like a cumbersome largish crossover. The Macan feels like a Golf R on stilts.

Relatively reliable. The thing that kills you is what you’d expect like brakes, tires, and maintenance. 30k gets spark plugs, 40k gets a DSG service, etc. it all adds up. Not to mention the drains for pano roofs need to be snaked every year or two.

You’re outside the window for transfer case issues. That mostly affected the first two years or so of production. And that was a 50/50 mix between poor front driveshafts and transfer boxes.

As a lover (and owner of 3) Z-Cars... you know what Nissan is more than anything listed above? Profitable.

With the exception of limited production cars (Chevy SS, Porsche GT cars, etc), every car is designed to be high volume. That’s life. The Supra will be a low volume/limited production car  the Toyobaru cars are designed to be high volume

Honestly the rest of the car is nice. But the interior’s knock off Apple aesthetic with glossy white plastics is just not good looking. And quality is unimpressive when compared to other hybrids (granted you’re paying for the volt’s drivetrain).

Holy shit you just can’t let things go.

It has two. The stupid looking one in the center console and one up on the dash by the passenger side vent (outer vent).

The 982 is the current Boxster/Cayman (porsche really made it confusing banking on the old 718 connection).

Reminds me of the rear fascia on a 996 Turbo or C4S to a degree. I like it.
