I don’t know why Jalopnik didn’t use a turbo engine in the lead picture.

The turbo cars use a completely different intake for the DFI engines.

This is a Porsche DFI engine. The injectors are on the “top” of the cylinder head.

From the manufacturer? Toyota and Subaru aren’t exactly boutique automakers like Rimac or Bugatti.

Since they went on sale? How is this an argument with you people. Besides the initial rush of people who bought them, they’ve been stagnant. They’ve had updates? Oh you mean the small facelifts from when Scion shut down? Yeah. Sure. About as updated as the 370z.

They’ve been a sales failure. Flat out. There is a reason they are withering on the vine and we haven’t seen any real additional development in them.

Crossover IDx. With a CVT and FWD based AWD.

The Cayenne is surprisingly capable. It’s not Wrangler and won’t do rock climbing. But with some better non-summer tires it’s more impressive than you’d think.

It’s the same as the Q5 and current Macan Sport. It’ll feel just fine.

Don’t worry. I made the mistake of watching it.

I’d rather not have to deal with the awful interior that is the first gen volt.

Except in the context of these. It’s like voting CP for a Miata because it can’t haul a boat.

I don’t blame him. The IDx would likely be a relative failure like the Toyobaru twins.

Doug isn’t known for doing actual research. And he doesn’t want to listen to anything but his cursory google search.

You’re right. Bankruptcy in the late 80s or early 90s would’ve been preferable for saab.

I haven’t removed anything.

2005-2007 got the J35 across the board.

Look at dates before commenting.

I think you’re misunderstanding it. They aren’t saying put them in a F350 king ranch or Escalade. They’re saying “larger” as in stuff around the midsize class. Because the typical low budget first cars tend to be compacts and subcompacts.

The Honda V6 was only in the Redline. And overall it wasn’t the god awful vehicle people made it to be. It’s transportation. It was cheap, comfortable enough, and had a ton of room for being a smaller SUV.
