Shame. Because the failure rate for the IMS on this is extremely low. Near non existent.

Very likely wasn’t spec’d by a customer.

Because it’s the revised bearing with a drastically lower failure rate.

Lol no. They aren’t. IMS affected somewhere around 8% total. Sounds like you didn’t bother doing your research IMO.

Because it’s irrelevant.

They make those. They are called crossovers.

It’s a similar AWD to the A8. There is no control over AWD functions. I don’t think there’s a factory tow option available for it in the US (I haven’t seen one). There are flappy paddles on the wheel as well as the proper up/down shift function on the shifter.

Last I checked that wasn’t for the US. It wasn’t available in the US for the first gen Panameras either. Despite being available in Europe.

Except nobody is really going to buy these. The Cayenne prints money. People actually buy it. This? Not so much.

The rear seat of the new Panamera is very usable for adults.

That’s an option most will come with the full length console

No. No it does not. Completely new interiors and exteriors along with new drivetrains (sans the 5.7L) mean it’s a new car. I’m not sure what the insistence that a shared platform mean it’s not “new.”

Incorrect. The 96 C4 and 84 C4 share body panels sans revised bumpers and interior is largely the same minus the dash and console.

Brand new exterior. Not exterior updates. New interior. V6 was a new engine and the 8-speed ZF box was in the pipeline; the 5.7L was carryover and the SRT engine was reworked.

That’s my point. I don’t know why im catching so much flack because I admitted the Chassis was the same. Which is common in the automotive industry.

Partially Incorrect. Rear multilink is from the e class. Front suspension design is based off the S.

People have the issue that the chassis is largely the same. A lot of gen 1 LX parts do work on gen 2 as far as chassis and suspension.

The exterior and interior in 2011 were completely new. How is that “tweaks”?

The LX cars from 2011 can’t be classified as being from 2006 just because they continued using the platform. A new exterior and interior along with revised engines (other than the 5.7 Hemi), and the release of the 8-speed auto a few years into it (13 for V6 and 14 for V8?) it’s hardly fair to say it hasn’t been

The Z31 gets kind of forgotten because it shares a name with the beautiful Z32. Nobody really says that these are that bad looking. If anything he S130 280ZX gets that hate because it was a weird mish mash of styling and all it really had going for it was the emissions choked L28.
