The amount of milk I drink, I should care about this, and I don't find it gross. Drinking milk from your own species solves so many problems, apparently.

@kirbeelee: Technically it's not that its unique, its that we shouldn't be drinking milk from another species.

@fugit: It involves a ton of socialism.

@Spieg a la Carte: Yeah.. there are plenty of other reasons. There's a million reasons americans can normally think of, but we always know way more and and better.

Didn't they push for resolution independence for Tiger? I heard very little about that (before my time) and there were several suggestions it didn't get done.

I have no idea what is is, but I'm sure Top Gear UK built it.

So... Wii, PSP, iOS and all sorts of silly things like this have Opera as default or common. Why is this browser which is by far best on desktop not popular where it should be!

@delos: Windows used to be known for not using terribly sane measures of adding to the bar. Mac and Linux seemed to have got onto the whole be truthful bandwagon early. Even then it's random, you say that each of these six jobs should add a sixth, but they each take a different amount of time each time it's done.

Right wing people know internet tricks? I thought their knuckles still dragged on the ground.

Required plugins? No need, I use Opera.

You could do this before by blocking them briefly.

What's the DPI you need for canvas, or anything other than paper?

@brijazz: Well yes.. they will. Economies of scale may mean they will shuffle their products around (while still all being over $1000, and simple per price point) with a small overall drop.

@johnpooley3: 3ft for copper, longer in the future for copper and fibre. Like firewire, usb and so on, any protocol can run over it. It doesn't have a concept of master/slave, the levels above it would do as they do now (or not, like SATA). Firewire can connect directly, so I assume so with this.

@stan_i_am: We don't care about the 80c fee per device, the makers could easily add that onto every firewire product. There's some political reason.

@tealfixie: There's HP, Dell, Leveno, and Apple. Why should anyone other than Apple exist? They have different backers. They all have different histories over the level one protocol, but other than that are identical.

I hope that this name is only for copper. Thunderbolt just seems like a copper thing, Light Peak sounds like a fibre optics thing.

By Wifi, I hope you mean LAN.

Fuck yeah! Now do it in England for me.

@Nigra: We watch US crime drama, we can tune it out. Then we bitch about it by producing so much you want to watch in English accents, and making Canada put the queen on the money.
