I'd take living alone as an excuse to eat at odd times taking as long as I want over it. By that I surprisingly mean I'd take time alone as time to make really complicated meals to use on people when they are around. For OSX I often do "Sleep 600 && say Time to put the oven on" It tells me in ten minutes, and it never gets drowned out even with tf2 and trance music, and there isn't a screen message for my eyes to miss.

@Pripyat: We don't, our brain knows the distance between our eyes and needs both eyes to see 3d/depth perception. You only think you see 3D with one eye closed, really your brain is just compensating with all the practise it's had.

Is this on top of the highly variable base metabolic rate or not? Some of those number seem a bit high to be not including the BMR.
