It's so weird that me and a friend (a friend who's obsessed with all things MGS) just watched Escape From New York the other day, and he immediately jumped on the resemblance, which I hadn't really thought about before.

My personal preferences are better than your personal preferences!

I added a quick search to my Firefox bookmarks. [www25.wolframalpha.com] is the address. Now I just type "wa" then my search into the address bar and it searches.

Google Maps. In conjunction with iPhone, it's really simple.

I teach and use Keynote for my lectures. Downloaded the new iWork the day it came out and it hasn't disappointed. I also use my iPhone to control it. Wows my students and makes for seamless lectures. Good stuff.

I missed the warnings at the end!

I'm all for saving a few bucks here and there, but c'mon. A stress ball? I'll run over to the local dollar store and buy one before I trash my kitchen with this.

How does Time Machine when you don't have your designated hard drive connected? I have no intention of hauling my backup drive around...

Get to know your professors. That whole kiss-up stigma from high school no longer applies! At the end of each class on the first day, walk up to the front of the room (you're already sitting there, right?) and introduce yourself. And use their office hours. I can't tell you how much this helps. OK, I can. And I will.

Pardon the smart-alec sarcasm, but...

...Book...? Isn't that one of those old-fashioned paper blogs?

It's nothing really innovative or anything, but as a teacher, I use my Apple Remote to control my Keynote presentations. You should have seen the kids' (who are weary of dull PowerPoint presentations) faces the first time I clicked to the next slide and they saw the cube-transition for the first time! They didn't

First thing I thought of when I saw "ICE," my first thought was of the train. In Germany, the Inter City Express (ICE) is a high-speed train. I doubt the German EMTs would think to call a train in case of emergency. Don't think it would work so well here!
