Never having access to a good PC growing up, Civ Rev was my first Civ game, in highschool I would play with all my friends for hours during summer break. We loved it on the 360, I didn’t know until years later it had a lot of online hate.

I enjoyed it too. It's too bad that so many people hated it for not being full Civ. It wasn't meant to be.
I know Revolution was a pretty stripped down version, but I enjoyed it. It was just a fun, simple, quick (relatively) game. I'd love a proper sequel that took some of the newer stuff and applied it to the Rev formula, like the hex movement instead of square.
I agree 100%. I cant justify spending that much money on a game that was released 3 years ago.
If this was a complete package for $60 which it absolutely should have been I would have double dipped with no reservations... but at $110 it’s really easy to say no to.
All the pvp multiplayer stuff will still be coming to the first overwatch so not to split that player base. Just the pve stuff will be exclusive to overwatch 2. from what i understand. i didn’t read this article though.
Im a black male. I’ve never felt weird playing non-black characters, nor do I gravitate to heroes like Lucio and Doomfist. I dont relate to them just cuz their skin color is similar, and I think the notion is ridiculous.
I always found the obsession with having an African-American woman as oddly specific. We have two Egyptian women, an African man, a Haitian man, and a robot made by an African girl. It’s not like we’re lacking in Black representation with about 1 in 6 characters being black, and 14 women means women aren’t left out…
Uh, it seems more like they wrote and created a really cool black soldier lady and put her in a very important story position so they wanted to wait to fully introduce her until they do their story focused sequel?
Assaulting a transit worker gets you 7 years. Why hasn't this fossilized turd been arrested?
He doubled down on his asshole status by wearing a Flyers jacket.
Yeah, I’d say the biggest thing people dislike about the series is that they rushed to an ending, which is sort of the opposite of Walking Dead.
They were great at adapting Martin’s work. I’ll give them credit for that. But I think as they moved away from the source material we saw the writing shift from telling a story to guiding the characters between big scenes. This resulted in countless plot holes and illogical scenarios.
“Pretending the show was never good for the sake of outrage”
So, are you just inventing things to argue your superiority over, despite no one really saying this? How adorable.
2010 was only 6 years after Return of the King won best picture and the same year Harry Potter 7 came out
Also, removing fantasy elements was the right move.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a show piss away such a large fandom as thoroughly as GoT did. It’s sort of amazing, really.
Finishing the books has nothing to do with this. The people behind the show deviated from his outlines before they even ran out of books to adapt. And it's his story, he can take as much time as he damn well pleases.
Yeah, because I definitely said that money doesn’t matter and that nobody should care about it.
Jesus, look at all the assholes in this comic section saying he can't be upset that someone fucked up his art because he's rich. Some people have never cared about anything but money, and it shows.
