It was aerodynamic. Just not much wing for how heavy it was. Kinda like the F-35

It isn’t that F-4s weren’t aerodynamic, it’s that they were heavy and had small wings. Their J-79 engines were powerful for the time, but less powerful than the F100 engines a generation later. No one accuses the F-14, F-15, or F-16 of being bricks.

My first visit to Japan was in 2007. Of all the Japan only vehicles, the Delica was the one that struck me most. Second was seeing an FTO in person.
