I had a Maxima rental car and the VQ motor and CVT provided plenty of performance and better than 30mpg. I actually LIKED the CVT in that particular application.
My mom’s 95 did not have a split rear bench. So if you needed to fold the back seat down for anything it became a 2 seater. It also gets crap fuel mileage. He needs a van with decent mpg. Honda Oddessy, Toyota Sienna, or Nissan Quest.

How’s the range when it’s cold? Nearly bought an i3 off lease but owners said the rang decreased to around 50 miles per charge on a cold day. My daily commute is 52 miles.
