I appreciate the more in depth answer! I haven’t had any issues whenever using CarPlay. I feel like I’ve used it as a stand alone app in the past but maybe it was just a bug where it kept working outside the car.

CarPlay works better than any infotainment/navigation system I’ve used from any automaker. I pick rental cars based on which one has CarPlay. Why does everyone hate it?
