If you are Canadian it’s been dropped out of the promise. It used to be God and the Queen, but now it’s “my beliefs and Canada”.

The Canadian org did the same (at least on the Girl guides end). It’s now just a general “my beliefs”.

Are you Canadian by any chance? I know that Girl Guides of Canada has dropped the God part of their promise - it now says that “I promise to do my best, to be true to myself, my beliefs and Canada”

I ripped one once, right at a meet. Admittedly, I had been trying to stretch a bit more life out of it that just wasn’t there and it got caught on a locker, but still!

You are 100% right. This is exactly the reason that there is the need to legally outlaw the death penalty. It takes away the need for people to think rationally instead of emotionally in the heat of the moment.

Oh my god... exactly this! What a horrible suggestion that was. We have done it. It was called eugenics and resulted in the forced sterilisation of thousands of women of colour, poor women, and mentally ill women.

Me and my bf are currently doing that now (serious, committed relationship in two households and not looking to change that for at least the next year - so for about 2 years of our relationship) and it is great! A+ would recommend.
