Well, it would be hard to do worse!

I am so excited for Uniquo to come to Canada in the fall. No more stocking up when Ii cross the border!

Don’t get me wrong... you could totally get into Canada. We’re not surrounded by ocean, most of the border is just wilderness. Plus, Americans don’t need a VISA to enter. The real question is how they would stay...

I genuinely hope you are right.

One of the interesting things though, is that this movie does exist (not by Disney). My paternal grandparents had a copy of this animated movie for children that was terrifyingly accurate to the Anderson story. I remember being so upset by it at like 6 years old.

Yeah, but in a two party race in a country with fairly low voter turn out getting centerists/undecideds to vote for you is only one way of winning. The other way is to make sure that a way higher proportion of your core voters get out to vote than either the voters of the other side or the undecideds.

I am also fascinated by this. Where are they planning to go? I’m assuming by their *ahem* politics that they want to go somewhere that is English-speaking and filled with white people. So... Canada? UK? Ireland? New Zealand? Australia? All places filled with socialized medicine, gun control, abortion (except Ireland),

John Boyega isn’t there I guess. It’s too bad because he’s been ROCKING tuxes in all sorts of colours.

Yeah, the non-binary identities thing was what I was driving at, but I should have been more clear. I totally agree with you on the religion thing, however!

I mean, I too would rather that such nonsense not happen in the world, and it does piss me off. However, I really think that one of the things that we have to come to terms with as adults is that rights apply just the same to people we don’t much like.

Exactly!

Right. I couldn’t remember if they did or if they just went off your passport. Thanks!

I actually thought that the answer in the case of the barber shop was a pretty fair ruling, actually. In terms of this situation the airline could probably just add a step during ticket purchase where people whose religion demanded it could seated (in advance!) next to someone of the same gender. Like vegetarian

This is great! My parents didn’t put us in martial arts... but they did put us in football (and later rugby) and I can still remember the feeling of strength and joy and pride I felt the first time I was able to tackle my older male cousin.

We don’t really say aboot- but it’s probably a stereotype because we DO say about differently than the rest of the English speaking world (maybe that’s the best they can do when trying to imitate us?)

Way more expensive than Cape Breton though...

We have WAY to many teachers. At least in my part of the country. All of my friends who went to teachers college are spending years on the supply list while trying to get a full time job.

Not for my life, but for my physical safety. One time a man took a hard swing at the side of my head after I told him three times I wasn’t interested and I had looked away to try and ignore him.

Yeah, 100%- and the history of how they got there is really very interesting. I studied the Quiet Revolution a bit in Uni and it was way more fascinating than I thought a course of mid-twentieth century Canadian public policy could be.

I am with you on this one. So long as there are stalls for both toilets and showers I don’t see any reason that we shouldn’t all use the same ones!
