Me too!

Good luck! My riding is a battle to the death between the Liberals and the NDP. It’s nice, but it also leaves me feeling like there isn’t much that my vote can do.

Like most of the laws this government has passed.

If it makes you feel better my work has a poll and people have been lined up down the hall since it started.

You are correct, I always forget that the 905 includes Hamilton because everyone I know in Hamilton has a 289 area code.

Not to mention First Nations, Metis and Inuit activists.

Ugh, I sometimes feel like the 905 exists (politically) only to vex me.

Oh congrats! Good for you.

Panic voting Liberal: the only real Canadian tradition.

I was actually scrolling though the comments to see if anyone was talking about how gender effected their preference. Personally, my (physical) type for both men and women is pretty similar but not a perfect overlap. I wonder how common/uncommon that is.

Yeah, I know. I just hate to treat service industry workers as, like, dispensers of service where money goes in and stuff for me comes out. It’d be really unpleasant if everyone at my job treated me like that (although I’m lucky enough that it doesn’t really happen where I work.)

I was with you until you said airplanes. I love those little personal airplane tvs- they make long flights so much more bearable (especially once you get to that stage where you are too tired to read but too uncomfortable to sleep.)

Ok, a question for all you frequent taxi users out there: how rude is it to NOT talk to your taxi driver?

That would drive me crazy though- I can see using a non-scented on in doors, but I would hate to have someone in the office or train or something just blowing scent around. It’s like that person who always wears too much perfume in meetings. Ugh.

Lucky you! There is a ton of information on this- and I’m not even going to have to haul out my old textbooks to show it to you because it is dead simple and the information is readily available to any one with a computer (like you!)

Except that this is really not a new thing- it’s just more obvious to you because of the internet. Public outpourings of grief and displays of mourning were common throughout history, and the idea that grief should always be private is much more recent. The medium may have changed, but this isn’t a new phenomenon.

Exactly this. Sounds like a really hard one for your family. (And it would completely gnaw at me too, so I get it.)

He thing is, and I’ve argued this before, there really isn’t a way to be right wing only on economic issues. Economic and social issues aren’t two completely different things. If you are voting for right wing economics you are also voting against decent healthcare and education for poor people, to define clinics like

I’m with you on this one. There was a girl who waged a year long covert war to turn our entire social circle against me in high school. I hated her at the time, but as an adult it’s like yeah, she was a 17 year old with some shit going on. I don’t want to be best friends with her- but I hope she does fine. Teenagers

You kind of are, but we appreciate it. (Kind of just imagining you speaking RP now).
