Huh. Thanks for explaining- that is actually an interesting window onto something I didn’t really know was that much of a thing.

But now I’m fascinated. Is there some sort of signal, or prearranged get together to see if some one else is into it? Or do dudes just whack it through there and hope for the best?
I will admit to very very infrequently giving someone a firm tap on the outside of their shoulder on the subway if they are blocking my exit and have been completely impervious to repeated verbal requests. Usually because they have huge noise cancelling headphones. I feel like it’s not optimal, but I’m also not sure…
I have so many feelings about this. I previously dated a very lovely man who told me upfront on our first date that he was poly which was a great approach. The relationship turned out not to be something that worked for me but there were no hard feelings either way.
Acrylic certainly has a place... but I’m not sure that it should involve either “sexy” or genital touching.
You know, it might actually be the acrylic part that is horrifying me most at the moment. Clearly the internet has just short circuited my brain.
I don’t think this is the implication at all.
There you go then... I know I should do SOMETHING with them (just like I know I should do something with makeup) but I don’t know WHAT.
Does this mean we could start, say, posting pictures of our eyebrows and you would tell us how to fix them?? Asking for a beauty challenged friend.
Well that IS a change from when I usually go out for drinks with my friends:
I mean, assuming that you are talking about the English speaking world 16 would be pretty young for Dorothy to be married in 1930, but I get your point.
Best part of that entire franchise, imho.
That’s brilliant, and so true. I've always figured, without looking it up, that the huge increase in life expectancy over the 20th century was largely due to plummeting mortality rates for under-12s. (I've done some work on mortality in populations but only as a historian, and only for the middle ages, so it’s way…
I always argue (half jokingly) that it isn’t scientists these people should be listening to on vaccines, it’s fucking historians. Let me pull out my stats on childhood death rates pre-vaccines. It isn’t pretty!
Fair enough, but I still think the neoprene dresses from last year were a mistake.
Exactly. What has gone wrong with their fabric choices?? They are such poor quality, and all around strange.
I love this comment, I was trying to explain this reaction the other day and it took me about fifteen minutes to explain exactly what you did here.
I wish I could give you five hundred stars.
I dunno- my childhood church was doing this since at least the early 90’s, so it can’t be that revolutionary.
I haven’t been keeping an eye on the Scottish press specifically- so thanks for the tip. My hometown is an MS hotspot and no one really knows why, so several of my friends have parents with MS and we try to keep an (untrained) eye on the latest research coming out.
