But they don't sell them in Canada- not even online and Banana Republic is the same (for obvious reasons). This is the source of my beef- they changed it up last year and the only lengths you can get up north are regular and short. It's really annoying because BR was my go to place for work pants.

I have a huge ribcage as well. It just does not fit into the traditional shapes of women's clothing. My work solution has just basically become pencil skirts. (Hey, it's an illusion of shape!)

Kinfolk is so strange. My old roommate was a photographer and worked on a couple of shoots for them, so of course she got a subscription one year. And we really enjoyed the first issue which was beautifully shot etc. but it's all so weirdly the same that you would never need to look at a second issue.

That's exactly the same frame I have. Isn't it a pain to buy clothes for? Everything assumes that over a size 6 is just boobs everywhere and I have... none. (Don't even get me started on shoulders how to fit my shoulders into things.) I feel like clothes above that size assume that you are either an hour glass or an

I think it's definitely possible. Especially if you are talking about sizes in more high end lines. I'm the same height as she is and there is a definite size bump that comes from just being tall and possibly broad (I, personally, have the shoulders of a linebacker).

Too, too true- although hey! We may have lost ground in recent years but our players still make up most of the league (50.6%).

This is the this ng I hate most in the world. How can so many clothes go up four sizes and not get any longer. I wasted my entire day roaming around the mall last weekend because nowhere sells jeans in longer than a thirty-two length, but, as one supremely unhelpful sales woman told me- they do have petites.

Yeah, but Old Navy sizes are huuuuuge! Last time I went in there I had to buy two sizes smaller than what I usually do.

Ah, I once saw a couple having full on sex. They were in the car behind me but when the train pulled into the station they announced that we would be stopping for a passenger alarm and everyone from that car came streaming into mine and told us all about it. The worst part was that after the guards came and hauled

Yeah, one of my good friends from high school who pretty much made my grade twelve year a living hell (in an effort, as it turns out, to keep any attention off of her own insecurities) has tried to become friends again a couple of times over the last five years. I'm not really still upset or angry, and I don't bear

That's true- developmentally it's actually really hard for kids to see things from other people's perspective.

When I worked in the ER we had two surprise births in four years. Like your friend neither woman even knew she was pregnant. The first woman was just a larger woman so it didn't really show, and the second woman had a 10 month old baby at home so had just never lost the weight and thought the hormone fluctuations were

Well, I've never planned my wedding because that's never been my thing... but after being involved in several weddings over the past few years I sure as hell know what I WOULDN'T do, and I don't think that's particularly unhealthy.

Eh, there's lots that's not awesome, but the new nutrition labels we just rolled out ARE pretty good. =D

Hey! That's one of my favourite changes to the Canadian nutrition labels... they now have to group all the sugars under the general heading of sugars with the specifics in brackets afterwards. It's so much clearer!

Eh, I actually don't think that programs like that are all they are cracked up to be. First of all, I feel like a big problem in our society is that there is a focus on cutting calories and eating a certain way for weight and size and not for health. And this is a perfect example of this, it pretty much is saying if

This is exactly the point I was going to make- part of the problem is that food is so much more than just calories.

YUP!!!

Are you secretly my grandmother?

But the problem with stats Can in this instance is that any home births that end up calling 911 for complications end up as hospital deaths which INCREDIBLY skews the numbers that are reported.
