That wasn’t even true ON 9/11. The 4th plane that crashed in Pensylvania was because the passengers had heard what happened to the other 3 planes and decided “fuck this shit” and attacked the hijackers with everything from their carry on luggage to pots of hot coffee.

The system has been clearly broken for some time. Our response to terrorism has made us more vulnerable. And the cracks are starting to show.
