For something to disappoint, there must be some expectation of satisfaction. So Chrysler can’t disappoint me. I expect nothing from them, and they deliver exactly that.
All of the cars you named, with the exception of the new NSX or new type-R, are well over a decade old. What have they given us to replace the S2k or del Sol? Or for that matter, the CRX. They’ve killed the Prelude and foisted CVT equipped Accord and Civic coupes on us instead. The new type-R looks absurd. I don’t…
Not sure where you’re seeing that those are 19s. I believe those are narrow rims to allow you to mount front drag tires. Since we already know the factory front tires will be the same as the rears, this would allow you to see the front rims and have a spare set of rear tires already mounted.
No, Discerning’s right, you’re obnoxious.
If it’s a Honda F1 engine, it’s still common.
Turns out that Bob is totally off the hook for this since he sold the shop to Aaron Holstrom (black and red shirt in photo) sometime around Y2K.
That was Oklahoma City (OKC) not Kansas City (KC). Get your flyover cities straight.*
I think the all zeroes display would be most likely, as the article makes it sound as if the display itself is typically programmable independent of the ECU. It would make sense that if the programmers wrote the software to only accept commands to advance, they would have also written programming to make it pointless…
So do they then hold at 999,999.9 miles. Outside of some OTR semis, I have never encountered a million mile+ vehicle, and certainly not one with a digital odo. I would expect they would start over from zero.
If it’s possible to increase the mileage on the odometer, is it possible to increase it to it’s limit and “roll it over”? ie, If the display is a 7 digit unit (XXXXXX.X) would it be possible for the tech to increase millage to 999,999.9 and then drive it out of the driveway and back to hit zero, or would the digital…
Yes. And also notice the populatio trending upward over the same time. Ignoring the severe impact of the ACA on part time/full time employment is intellectually dishonest.
My thoughts exactly. What was the time around the track? Sector speeds or top speed don’t matter if the time interval crossing the start/finish line is accurate. Like Harris, I’m guessing they ran multiple laps and used the cleanest footage, not necessarily the footage from the record lap.
Under-square flat plane crank?
Two I4s joined together? So are we talking about another FPC V8?!
As a father of four, I can barely bring myself to think about this, much less watch the video. But this whole debate is mental masturbation. There would be zero effect in restricting the type of car or the amount of horsepower a driver could operate.
There are so many potential pitfalls with this thing. So NP because I’m a sucker for cars that probably shouldn’t have a clutch but do.
Came to post this. There is a street in town named Brougham. I can no longer pronounce it properly because of this movie.

Good luck getting any insurance company to pick up the tab for you deliberately damaging your car. Even if you had comprehensive coverage and were willing to pay your deductible, they’d weasel out of it or at least drop you.
