When I got to the bit where Larson changed her Dorland-inspired character’s sign off in her letter to “Kindly” (the real Dorland’s usual sign off), I actually gasp/laughed aloud.

Uh, Sonya Larson herself wrote in multiple texts to friends that she took Dawn’s letter to the recipient of the kidney transplant, verbatim, to put in her story.

Understandable- this piece was so vague about actual details that I went to the NYT and found them (https://www.nytimes.com/2021/10/05/magazine/dorland-v-larson.html). Halfway through the Jez article I had to look for details, came back and finished reading this, and apparently blanked on which article had which info.

If you’re over the age of 15 and would tell someone that you “value their friendship”, and then literally the next day talk mad shit about them in a group text or otherwise you might be a goddamn sociopath.

Yes, she has values, but she’s clearly gunning for power and the career politician life.

I wish I knew the reason she was crying. It seems like she did something pretty cowardly.

oh noes she failed an impossible purity test, we’d better eat her

I am a Chi O alum and I would be 100% okay with the entire chapter being shut down for this. Absolutely disgusting. No wonder people hate on sororities— we keep proving the stereotypes right.

FYI I just heard on the Tim Pool stream that multiple people including Ryan Reilly and another photog that Tim just spoke with are saying there were no molotov cocktails thrown, that protesters were marching with hands up toward cops and shortly thereafter the cops began hitting them with tear gas. Also it's been

One would think that massive media coverage would make them rethink how their actions are perceived by the public and received by the community that are supposed to protect. Instead, it seems to fuel their abhorrent behavior.

I think at one time that kind of work ethic would have been appreciated. Not so much anymore, now they'll see you as a sucker.

Let's not forget their founder and CEO was vehemently against the HCA, and publicly outlined his plans to cut worker hours in order to get around the new restrictions. Or that they've illegally fired and threatened workers that were trying to unionize at their stores. Or that he's a huge right wing conservative who

The weird thing is, there are some people who will always work off the clock to try and get in good with the manager. I had a roommate who would clock out and still work for a small business where she was employed. She thought this would show them that she was dedicated, and they would want to give her more hours. I

I totally agree. When a teenager gets gun downed in the street, the response—the nitpicking shit. I don't know. I just don't know what to say but there are ways that people are denying his humanity, which in turns, erodes theirs.

Don't forget the ever-popular "de-humanizing stare"

The craziest thing to me in the aftermath of these killings is how accepting most people are of the militarization of the police. I fully expect that when video footage is found (dashcam or otherwise), Mike Brown will have done nothing that could warrant a reaction with fatal force, but people will still look and

Right, but she seemed fine with the suggestion that she was going to wear it out with girlfriends and to a wedding, even if she wasn't. She is more upset that they said she had ALREADY done it and just loved the fit when they didn't even send the dress. They're using her to sell a dress she hasn't seen or worn.
