Might have been the episodes you caught. My entry into it was the episodes on Judy Garland and Frances Farmer, both of which really hit home on one of the whole podcast's main themes: how terribly women have been treated by the Hollywood system, especially in the front half of the 20th century. From there, I found

I'm as liberal as the day is long, but my wife is a registered Republican. She's had massive struggles reconciling her stated party with her actual ideology, and she's batted around the idea of a Christian Liberal party. You'd think it would be a no-brainer, right?

If I had cash to spend on such things, I would absolutely wear some of the Judge John Hodgman shirts.

Furthermore, I think I'm always a month or so behind on Night Vale itself, and catching up feels like a chore.

I did really like Alice Isn't Dead. I'm looking forward to Season 2. Between The Wires did nothing at all for me, and I'm still trying to figure out whether or not Flying Circus is something I want to continue to follow.

Gristly untimely death.

Being glib is fun, but Podmass has reviewed Magic Tavern several times.

They outlasted the Bill Clintones.

Slowly working my way up to current on YMRT. Still on the Blacklist.

Agree to disagree on Formosa. I'm in absolute love with the idea that the main characters are objectively worse off by the end of each episode.

The Left can't do that because there's a general lack of focus. Ostensibly, the Tea Party rallied around strict Constitutionalism, especially as it regards lowering taxes. Obviously that's not how it came out in the wash, but they were able to get people on their side because they were kind of okay with your other

Dead Author's Podcast with L. Ron Hubbard, especially Part 1, might go down as my single favorite hour of podcasting ever.

And I get that, and I knew what I was asking when I asked it. But that's a critical problem with "actual progressives." If they can't manage to win anything, then their high-minded ideals have no relevance. There needs to be a governor, or a Senator, or something. There's no Buster Douglas moment with the highest

I cannot possibly recommend You Must Remember This highly enough.

I'm still on episode, like, 4 of Magic Tavern. I listen to most podcasts at work, so I have trouble finding time to listen to comedy podcasts anymore. It's why I rarely catch CBB or the Sklars anymore, and I need to work to fit in Dead Pilots Society.

And here I thought the Right was the "enemy." Now I find out that the Left isn't against the Right, they're against The Other Left Right Over There That's Left But Not Left Enough. I was going to caution against fighting a war on two fronts, but if you're against everybody, I suppose it's still just one front.

This sounds almost definitely true.

So instead of explaining your comment, you double down *and* take a shot at a person whose curiosity you piqued. Way to win the hearts and minds, broseph.

Yeah, that's the big draw of Favreau, is that he has worked so closely with the man in the room. I want to hear Progressive Liberal ideas, but I also want to hear about them from people who know what it takes to win.
