I detest the guy, but he’s not painting us into a corner. Russia will be a key player in ending this conflict. Don’t have to take my word for it, just watch.

It's a Sunni-Shia war, it's not likely to end, and everybody is going to be dragged into it whether they like it or not.
What exactly have we lost here? We’re saving money and American lives. Sounds good to me.
Who is walking over us? Disasters in Syria has nothing to do with “us”
I don’t think you understand the difference between the lack of political will to continue with a conflict and the ability of the American military machine.
I would argue that a good bit of his adventurism is about domestic politics.
I don’t have an issue with the Russian adventure. I’m just pointing out that this is not an “inexpensive” adventure by any definition.
I think his policy is very reactive. And the reaction doesn’t seem to be particularly effective, as your post says. If I hear another PUTIN IS TAKING WEAKLING OBAMA FOR A FOOL post, I’m definitely gonna start a strategic invasion of my own.
Its an incredible sculpture but let’s be honest here, the Swiss Guard were basically mercenary bodyguards for foreign tyrants— it’d be like building a memorial in the US for some Xe/Blackwater what have you types who were hired to protect Qaddafi.
I think Swiss Guard would not really be done justice in a show like Deadliest Warrior. Their true power came from unit coordination and discipline, not individual force of arms.
What really made the Swiss mercs special, was they were arguably the first (and one of the only) offensive pike units. Usually, pike were used…
if you can fit it into your line-up, I for one would love to read more about their history. It’d also be cool to see where they fit with other well known units. There used to be a show called Deadliest Warrior and they’d match various armies and use historical figures to tell the narrative. This is was an interesting…
Ironically, the very same swiss guards accidentally kicked off the french revolution to begin with: Swiss mercenaries had been called to repress riots during the evening of the 12th of July 1789 in Paris. Added to that the rumor that Swiss mercenaries stationed outside Paris were being moved in the capital to…
At the end of World War 2, the United States could’ve taken over the world and NO ONE could’ve stopped us. Instead, the USA with the Marshall Plan, etc. brought the world back on its feet. That puts America in the Great Nation category.
I live near Hill and I suppose if you’re after the night life, Utah wouldn’t be your thing. If you’re after incredible outdoor activities right out your back door, this place is unreal. For me, I’ll take the outdoors any day!
You know, if this aircraft, operated as good as it looks...it would be one hell of a bird. I’m affraid it has the same effect as a a porn princess, great to look at, expensive to ride, and you don’t get much else for your money.
Q: How do you get your very own Starfighter?
“The F35 is a dog and was rejected by Russia when it was originally the Yak free style”
Of course it will....
Why are you sure of this since no candidate has floated that idea yet?
I dunno, the body count of our military operations over the last decade is a hell of a lot higher than Russia’s, and we’ve shown we’re happy to get entangled in irresolvable conflicts with no compelling national security motivation. I'd bet he listens.
