The Boxster is an exception to that German car stereotype. It’s a fairly simple car in base spec, without tons of electrics to go wrong. Both flat six engines are NA and if anything deliberately underpowered to keep the Boxster out of the 911's neighborhood. The PDK transmission is engineered for much more stress than…
I was in this same position 10 years ago (I was 25, had $35K budget, wanted fun car to keep forever, wanted to buy while I was single, internet people suggested Boxster/Cayman). I decided to go in another direction and bought a 356 for $27K. It’s totally analog, totally obsolete, totally impractical, and that’s totally…
My suggestion was going to be to buy a cheap daily driver, and a 944/951.
But not impossible if you stick to the non-turbo/non-S/2WD models. Just a plain normal 911. And really, there is nothing wrong with such a 911.
A good 911 under $35k is a difficult proposition.
As the husband of someone owning an R107, Patrick George has this one right.
Can’t go wrong with a Porsche. As always Tom nails it.
Honestly, all of the above are a good choice.

Removing the EGR can result in dirtier engine oil and a higher exhaust gas temperature. As long as your car is passing emissions without it, I don’t see much downside other than …
My money says that this stunt was actually pulled by Ford themselves.
Miele is way better than Dyson.
Left-field choice, but: Porsche Boxster or Cayman with PDK.
Porsche does a halo car every 10 years or so. The 918 is still young.
Isn’t the 918 Porsche’s halo car?
Track toys don’t have stick axles.
Well... It’s not this, but it is cool.
Cannot unsee war of worlds critter now.
Another reason why no one should buy a Harley.
You don’t get it. These aren’t road trip cars. They are for a 2 car family. Electric vehicle driven for daily commute up to 40 miles each way (which is an above average commute distance), charged overnight. 2nd car is gasoline and driven by the spouse for his/her commute and used for road trips. This is how families…
