Others adored this episode that much? As I'm getting older and ever more jaded a TV geek, there is less and less a place for this sort of thing in my viewing palate (and it would seem less a place for me in commentariat lunch table).

[n'mind - Disqus/AVC clustercuss, reposted elsewhere]

I was mildly interested in this (not that it seems to have much new information beyond the umpteen food industry/obesity docs that came before it), but then I learned I'd have to listen to Katie Couric's fucking voice through the whole thing so count me out…

Especially considering HBO ran a four-part series on the same subject not too long ago…

You're forgetting to include the shot capping the scene where Madeline Stowe attempts to form something like a smirk, but whatever shit she's done to her face won't allow her to form a human expression.

I should like to point out that I'm not withholding viewership from NBC because of Community.

Can we pause to admire what an awesome night of television we had last night?

I hate when this happens - a savvy compelling pilot debuts, and you sit breathless each week hoping that the show won't be cancelled. Cut to months later and the show is now getting renewed for a third season, only the thing they're making is dreadful pablum. I know I shouldn't expect better from ABC, but it still

Shucks - I was somewhat hopeful for this, especially given how most people have no idea where their food comes from…

I think I take your point, by which you mean that it isn't enough that everyone on the show is tv-approved attractive, but that the CW has a habit of featuring primarily only size 00-2 female cast members…

Congratulations pop culture - you went what, a whole 3 years without any Tudor wank before taking this latest hard dive off the wagon…

NBC could never be the network for hate-watching women - not with ABC's line-up anyway!

We're keeping an eye on Black Box, really?

Nooos! This is too much change, I can't handle it!

I mention this a few months back when Ep01 of Farmed and Dangerous dropped on Hulu, but it bears repeating…

Bletchley Circle, GoT, Mad Men, Good Wife - goodness TV Gods, my birthday isn't even for another week yet!

It's totally going to be that guy from that thing…

I'm just not sure how I feel about this…

With appearances in both National Velvet and The Black Stallion, Mickey Rooney was a dear part of my childhood.

If it was on NBC it would be silently burned off over the summer like so many of their other frisky 30-something hook-up/hang-out comedies…
