I think one of the problems with the perception of Perry's movies is that he finances and produces everything himself - you can't point to some scuzzy white executive presuming to sell black audiences what they want.
I've had the experience of both you and @avclub-db0c35ce2663c0e8c4b3f38642a49748:disqus .
In keeping with the theme of the article, if Scheer had a black comic in his circle who wanted to lead the charge, I wonder if they'd feature a Perry movie…
I'm of fan of FOCs.
Have you not also felt oppressed by the gay agenda? Damn, once again the LGBT community is overlooked…
I'd like to praise that "Warbiscuit" line, but I'd hate to say something nice about that show… Fitting though as both managed to completely mangle their source material.
I want to get excited about Parks & Rec, but there's a Southland sized hole in my heart that I'm not sure anything can fill right now…
I'm forced into this weird relationship with TNT -

Looks like another great year for Awkward - a show centred around high school characters has to be exceptional in order to hold my attention, and how this show just "gets it."
Today's entry in "Whaaaa?!"…
Ridiculous - everything that went wrong with this year's ceremony was the result of lousy production.
I'm preparing myself for a series finale. If it does turn out to be the case, at least they will go out on some of the most outstanding television this season.
It's a light Wednesday and yet it's still better than last night.
Just like the "Winter Finale" of Bunheads… grrrrrr…
"[Your hands] are so cold!"
"And yet Hell is sooooo hot!"
Don't we need to treat this as one reforms an addict - we can't help network television until the networks commit to helping themselves?
Awkward - not just a return of a delightful show, but Tuesday night's current and only saviour!
I was just trying to explain this film to someone… Very difficult to do in only a few sentences…
