I just wanted to show a little affection toward Out There which has been a dependable bit of weekend entertainment. Fun voice cast (Megan Mullally, y'all!).

Because everything is the sum of its parts?

I can't say I'm completely wild for this as a whole (yet?), but this was a masterfully constructed pilot. Another win for Fuller - almost disturbing to see him mired in this much death without his usual quirk to balance it out.

(So badly want to make a comment with Buress's rhythms/voice, but too tired… ugh, FAIL)

I have a similar feeling about Bates Motel as I do about Elementary - the central performances are applause worthy (Freddie Highmore is doing some really good work). And there are some other production elements that were cleverly assembled.

I find it kind of amusing that the most abused and copied detective icon of classic literature is up against the most abused and copied serial killer icon of the modern age…

This has been a showcase year for Cudlitz, but MVP of this episode was Shawn Hatosy. The sounds he made entering his house and following the blood trail were haunting…

We've sort of come full circle - without Silence of the Lambs kicking off this whole worship of the ultra-intelligent, twisty psychological psychopath thriller we never would have eventually arrived the likes of The FollowingCultBates Motel

He's solid. Just watched A Royal Affair again. So good…

I want to see Bryan Fuller succeed, but I have zero interest in going back to the Hannibal Lecter well…

I'm still just trying to understand a show that heaps continual trials and tribulations on Ivy, who only achieves success when other characters get bored and move on (I still resent that she got to be lead in Bombshell only because Karen left - she deserves better than Karen's sloppy seconds).

I can't believe they dreamed of creating a real musical through the television show and taking it all the way to Broadway. I don't see how either Bombshell or Hit List is meant to fit together in any cohesive manner.

So if you walk into the writer's room for Smash, it's
just a bunch of eleven year old girls and one or two token old queens
old enough to know who Liza Minnelli is, no?

@avclub-eac75edc18b8546c46893fe4b75ab995:disqus I figured as much, but it was just so funny on it's own.

I'm just excited every time I read/hear "John Mulaney's pilot."

So many of these entertainment "journalists" from E!, Entertainment Tonight and the like are such utter idiots, I don't know why all artists don't get high just to make it through those things.

That's really unfair. Ratzinger didn't rape anyone. He's just a shameless bureaucrat who allowed paedophiles to go unpunished.

(very clever but a joke loses something when you explain it)

Now he really will be Senor Chang…

Caught one of ABC's latest promos for Nashville - tune in for all the bed hopping? Christ…
