I agree Danny was one of the weakest parts of this show, but I hope killing him off wasn't meant to be a big emotional moment for the audience considering this is a character we hardly knew.

The pilot is perfectly dreadful - so cliche you could make a proper drinking game out of it, complete with no less than two "DON'T YOU DIE ON ME, KID!"s.
