I didn't read the Vice article that kicked this whole thing off, but it does remind me why I very rarely read music criticism - the "select things of which I approve are golden and everything else is shit" attitude.
It didn't come across quite as polished as Away from Her, but I thought there was quite a bit to enjoy in the film. I'm always keen to see anything of Sarah Polley's.
Where to jump in here…
@avclub-ad1caccf91fd561f8efdff685362a85e:disqus - Cooper is toned down, especially compared to previous GLAAD Media TV Drama winner True Blood (yes, that is a thing that happened). But since every year they are desperate to fill 5 slots in the mainstream film and tv categories, and usually nominate some of the worst…

Are you kidding? The Americans is getting a a good deal of [deserved] attention by plenty of critics of note.
The Following has "superfans"?!
Screw the Buffy movie.
I was curious whether or not someone reacted to that sentence. I actually do have fibromyalgia (fun fact: had I not been so severely afflicted with it, I never would have joined Reasonable Discussions). I resisted pursuing it as possible cause for my illness because I thought it was less a legitimate condition than…
So the creative team behind Smash are a bunch of 12 year old girls, yes?
Decades from now when television is obsolete and humans are uploading story-segs directly into brainchips, there will still be legend of a "neht-werk" which like a "Pee-cahk" was lots of showy colours that still tasted of chicken…
