To be honest, I got behind on Girls, but after getting caught up this weekend, I can't say I'm keen to go anywhere near the comments section. Women in television is a big open wound for me of late, and Girls criticism/snarkfest just amplifies so many issues…

I'm not in love with The League either, although it is still a show I frequently leave on in the background while I'm working (I adore Jon Lajoie). My problem with The League is that it's yet another comedy where everyone is a jerk, and there's so much of that on television now that I'm more than a bit fatigued with

Dreamworks and Pixar (minus the second half of Brave) have so spoiled adult audiences that upon seeing the promos for this I groaned at how juvenile it appeared to be.

Hey c'mon - I was a Jeff Dunham fan in grade four after seeing him on  The Smothers Brothers revival.

But will he ever overtake Ben Kingsley…?

Line?!

God, not this otaku bullshit again.

Goats are deviously smart when it comes to getting at something they deem edible.

Louie clone this isn't, but this does remind me of Curb Your Enthusiasm - irascible comedic talent plays slightly fictionalized version of himself as he brushes up against society and mostly the jokes are at the expense of his own bad behaviour. Not that I think that's a bad thing, and this is Jefferies voice here. to

Nicely articulated. Actually, I have huge concerns with FX and women and it's overall "Men Behaving Badly" through-line with all it's original programming.

I can buy that in this age someone could get the jump on the spin and turn a common sense error and blame it on someone else.

As others have stated, for all it's glory, the new Golden Age of television has been largely dominated by white middle-aged men. And part of the problem - female showrunners who are given a position of creative power who choose to make the same brain-dead fodder that Hollywood has been selling to women for years.

Excuse me, I'm the one who advocated for stronger female voices on the cable networks (in this case FX) and was basically told "women have Lifetime and Bravo, so what are you complaining about."

Still tittering over Zero Hour. Wow - ABC Thursdays are one giant wall of suck. I'm can't think of a worse line up on any of the US networks.

NO - do not attempt to validate Scandal as view-worthy when it is utter junk. The one note characters, the over wrought plotting, and all Kerry Washington's performances currently consists of is a series of pained looks. Not to mention it's overuse of reflections is the new lens flare.

Barry's beard was a pretty hilarious touch….

Wowwie wow wow is this bad.

Looking at the 10pm Thursday slot just makes me sad, with or without the Do No Harm cancellation.

NBC has some terrible shows, but mostly is guilty of horrible scheduling. ABC really takes the cake for worst line-up.

Let's just say I don't mix with the Terrier temperament. Which is why I like to watch each year - I can appreciate a good show dog (like Mick, the Kerry Blue from a few years back) from afar.
