I was really trying not to let my distaste for Charlie/Spiridakos consume my entire viewing experience last night, but by god you couldn't escape her awful expressions.

I think the show needs to address an important issue, that being the Mathesons are a pack of selfish arseholes. It isn't just Charlie that's a deeply flawed character, they are all pretty awful, and for a show that wants us to engage because of family this is kind of a problem…

I applaud them for explaining some of the mystery (unlike the promos this wasn't exactly The. Episode. That. Explained. EVERYTHING.) but I think it's more out of necessity.

Actually, the sending Charlie in alone plan made sense if the intention was to keep a low profile and just break out the one older kid.
